Help at the table
A good table should feel welcoming, and asking for help should be easy. Whether you have a question, need a hand with the app or have an idea to share, you are welcome to get in touch.
Contact support
Email the creator of Singapore Mahjong Club at wannabeslacker45@gmail.com for any questions about the game, account or membership help, privacy questions, bug reports, suggestions, or to report inappropriate content.
For a game issue, include your device, app version, what happened and any error message. A screenshot can help if it does not contain private information. Never send passwords, sign-in codes or full payment details.
Curious about the project? Read our story to learn why this app was created, the feeling of Mahjong it hopes to capture, and how optional memberships are intended to help cover its running costs.
Sign in and play
On the website you can practise solo without signing in; the table is saved in your browser. Choose Apple or Google to sign in on the website or in the iPhone app. Your first sign-in creates your Mahjong account with unlimited rounds. Use the same provider on your devices to return to the same account; Apple and Google sign-ins can create separate accounts.
Unsure how a hand was scored? The scoring guide lists every tai pattern, the points tables and the house rules a table can change.
Start a table and share its invite code with friends. Each friend signs in before joining. Any seated player can start when the table is ready; computer players fill empty seats.
Let a bot play, or leave permanently
During a game, open Menu and choose Let bot play to hand your seat to a computer player. You can watch the game and choose Take over when you want to play again. To take a break away from the table, choose Home, then Let bot play & go home. Your seat stays saved while the table is available. If everyone goes away, the game pauses until someone returns.
Open Menu, choose Leave table…, then Leave game permanently if you are done. A bot takes your place and the other players continue. You cannot return to that game through an invite code, saved tables or another device. If the last player leaves permanently, the table closes. Completed scores are kept.
Return to a saved game
On the home page, choose Continue your table under Continue playing; when several tables are saved, each shows as Continue on Table 1, Table 2 and so on. Sign in to see them on another device. Recovering a seat disconnects the previous device using it. Tables are kept for up to 24 hours.
If you lose connection
Reopen the game and reconnect. A computer player can cover an absent seat; confirmed moves stand when you return. A table with nobody present can pause until someone returns. If a waiting seat has been released, join the table again before play starts.
Chat, blocking and reports
In Table chat, choose Report below a player’s message. To report a profile, open Players. Choose Offensive, Harassment or Spam. Reporting also mutes the sender at that table. A host can mute table chat or remove a message.
Choose Block below a signed-in player’s message, or Block player on their profile, to hide their chat and profile across tables and prevent new shared tables. An ongoing game can continue with its scores intact. In the iPhone app, open My account, tap the Account settings gear and choose Blocked players to unblock someone. You can also use Manage blocked players in your browser. Muting alone applies only to the current table.
Keep names, profiles and chat friendly. Harassment, threats, hateful or sexual content, spam and sharing another person's private details are not allowed. Reports can lead to content removal or suspension of table access. Never include passwords, sign-in codes or payment details in a report.
Accounts and memberships
Compare memberships or open My account in your browser to see your plan and history. 1 round = one full wind. Each player takes a turn as dealer. In the iPhone app, My account shows your profile and history; Membership shows your plan and included features.
For an App Store subscription, use Restore purchases in the app if paid access is missing. Check that you are using the same Apple purchase account and Mahjong sign-in. Manage or cancel renewal through Apple's subscription settings; deleting the Mahjong account does not cancel an Apple subscription. For a browser purchase, manage your PayPal or Stripe subscription in My account and use Refresh payment status if needed.
Delete your account
In your browser, open My account, expand Account settings, then choose Delete account. In the iPhone app, open My account, tap the Account settings gear, then choose Delete account. This removes your profile, chat, saved history and account access. Other players keep their scores with your name replaced by Former player. See the privacy policy for backup handling.
Table availability
The service has a limited number of simultaneous tables. If tables are full, return later. Table balances are scores and cannot be withdrawn or exchanged for money.
