How it differs from Singapore
- Every set is worth points on its own: a pung of terminals or honours more than a pung of simples, a kong more again, a concealed set twice an exposed one.
- Doubles: a pung of dragons, your own wind or your own flower doubles the total, and the big patterns double it more, up to the limit of 500.
- No minimum: any complete hand goes out, with twenty points for going out.
- Every loser gives the winner the winner’s points, twice when either is East, and then the losers score their own hands and even up with each other.
- East keeps the deal after winning and after a drawn hand; a game is four winds.
The regulars at this table
Three of the club’s regulars sit down whenever you open a fresh Chinese Classical table. Each plays the style properly and in their own way; you can change the seats at the table.

Rules at this table
Four players, 144 tiles with eight flowers and seasons: the oldest scoring the club offers, in which every set is worth points, a few patterns double the total, and the losers even up with each other too. Play moves anticlockwise; the last 14 tiles stay in the wall.
The aim
Four sets and a pair, with no minimum: any complete hand goes out. Points are added up and doubled for every double the hand holds, up to the limit of 500.
